About the Indiana Coin & Precious Metal Dealer Association
The ICPMDA was founded in 1981. Its charter is to represent dealers, collectors and investors in matters that impacted the business, hobby and investor interests of the coin and precious metal industry in the state of Indiana. To that end, the organization has successfully prevented the passage of legislation that would have been detrimental to our interests at both the state and local level. In 1991 the ICPMDA spearheaded legislation to exempt coins and precious metals from Indiana sales tax. Though unsuccessful, that experience has laid a foundation for our current efforts. ICPMDA membership is open to anyone who is interested in protecting the business, collector and investor interests of the coin and precious metal industry particular to Indiana but not exclusive if regional or national issues surface that could effect Indiana interests.
